The Case Cart Item History file stores item history for case visits.
When you finish a case using CX30.1 (Case Completion Feedback), the Case
Carts system sends the case item data to this file. Once item data for a case
resides in this file, you can no longer access the case through the Case Carts
system for updating.
The data defaults from the case but originates from the burden record, the
preference template, or the case.
The Case Carts system logic for CX20.2 (Case Detail) uses this file and the
Case Cart Labor History file to calculate the total cost of the case.

identifier for the case.
A case is a record of the
practitioners, preference lists, and
associated information assigned to a
specific patient visit.
You can use this number to interface
with an outside scheduling system.

CIH-PROC-TYPE

The procedure type is the first of two
fields that uniquely identify a
procedure. The procedure type can
identify the code set to which the
procedure code belongs.
For example, you can use one of the
following codes:
- CPT-4 for a code in the Current
Procedural Terminology listing compiled
by the American Medical Association
-HCPCS for a code in HCFA's (Health
Care Financing Administration's) Common
Procedure Coding System, or
- A code defined for your
organization's own procedures listing.

The procedure code is the second of two
fields that uniquely identify a
procedure. The procedure code is an
identifier for a specific procedure
within a procedure type.

When you assign more that one
preference template to a case, the
system assigns numbers to the items on
the case sequentially. The numbers start
with 1 on the first preference and
