AP14.5 - 1099 Tax Identification Information
Use 1099 Tax Identification Information (AP14.5) for Tax Identification Number(TIN) purposes.
Tax Identification number type is Tax Identification number (TIN) or Social
Security Number (SSN). If there is a value other than 1 or 2 the type is
unknown or the option is not being used by the vendor/vendor group.
Tax Identification Number Notification is used to verify that the TIN number
has been verified by the IRS. The value is Yes or No. The default is no,
meaning the TIN is good based on the IRS feedback. The user is required to
populate this field with a Yes if the file for verification created by AP144
has been rejected by the IRS.
FATCA tab:
Any foreign vendor doing business in the US must have a W8 and GIIN number in order to comply with the IRS for reporting purposes. If the vendor does not
have a W8 on file with a valid GIIN number a Penalty rate will be charged
until that information is provided. All income and penalites are reported on a 1042-S at the time of regular year end processing.
